Encourage active play with our wooden push toy Bunny. Features an interior cutout that makes an easy "handle" for little fingers to grasp. Fun for babies and toddlers alike, this toy helps to develop motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Crafted from Cherry wood, it is finished with a mix of beeswax and flaxseed oil.
The bunny is approximately 5" x 6", with wheels that are fully functional.
Safety, Care and Cleaning Instructions:
Wipe down your toys on occasion, it's no problem as long as its done in moderation. You never want to submerge your toys in water or allow them to be soaked for a long time though as that will ruin the grain and make the wood more likely to break. Hot water will dry your toys out faster than room temperature water. Just use a damp cloth (not super wet), and a mild dish soap, sparingly. Wipe dry immediately.
If the finish on your toy dulls over time you can simply apply a 50/50 mixture of beeswax and any food grade oil such as olive oil, coconut oil, or our favorite organic flax seed oil. No prep work needed, simply wipe on, let it soak in, then wipe any excess off and you are done!
Grasping Toys and Teethers
Our grasping toys come natural so there is no finish to re-apply. We sand our toys smooth so you can avoid any raised grain as your baby goes to town on these things! However, with prolonged use you might feel some rough spots resulting from your babies saliva. These are not dangerous, the wood is not in danger of splitting or cracking.
If you want to restore your toys and teethers to the satin smooth finish all you need to do is get some 220-400 grit sandpaper from your local hardware store and rub the teether surface a few times. You can use the sanding sponges in our care kit or a new green scrubber pad from the kitchen to sand it down. Your teether arrived pre-sanded so it won't take much effort or scrubbing on your part in the future. Please do not submerge your teethers or toys in water as it will raise the grain.
Silicone
We use food-grade silicone that can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth or baby wipe. Remember, do not submerge the wood toys and teethers in water. The silicone beads should be inspected periodically to make sure they are still secure.
Do not use without full adult supervision. Inspect teether and silicone before every use and discard if damaged or beads come loose.
